The makers of Whitley Neill Gin have extended the brand further with the launch of a premium rye vodka.
It is triple-distilled in copper stills and made almost exclusively of winter rye which gives it a smooth and silky finish, rounded off with hints of sweetness and spice. It has a clean aroma with subtle hints of black pepper, vanilla and liquorice.
Bottled at 43% ABV, it joins the Whitley Neill portfolio from Halewood Wines & Spirits which includes the original Handcrafted Dry Gin and its flavours, Rhubarb & Ginger, Blood Orange, Quince, and Raspberry plus Whitley Neill Blood Orange Vodka.
The new release is line with the brand’s bold appearance, coming in an elegant grey, opaque 70cl bottle. It has a recommended price in retail of £26.
James Stocker, marketing director for Whitley Neill at Halewood Wines & Spirits, said: “As more consumers discover the Whitley Neill family, they are increasingly interested in exploring the range.
“Whilst gin might be their main spirit of choice, our data shows many of them will also drink vodka on occasion, making this the perfect complement to the brand’s award-winning portfolio.
“Not only does it rival any competitor in its price-bracket on taste, it also displays great provenance and authenticity, making it an easy product to invest in.”
The signature serve is a V&T, combining 50ml of Whitley Neill Rye Vodka over cubed ice with 100ml of Lamb & Watt Tonic in a balloon glass, garnished with a lime wedge.
It is also recommended for a Vodka Martini, ideal with 50ml of vodka to 15ml of vermouth, shaken with ice and strained into a martini glass and garnished with a twist of lemon peel.
