The creators of the Qcumber range of cucumber-flavoured mixer have launched a premium Cucumber Gin, made with a subtle cucumber infusion.
Hand-crafted and copper-distilled, Cucumber Gin is produced from 100% British grain, with crisp cucumber scents combined with an aromatic juniper base. It comes in 70cl bottles at 40% ABV.
It has been launched by The English Drinks Company which was founded by Graham Carr-Smith, who also launched the Qcumber range of mixers and soft drinks in 2012.
Graham said: “We set out to deliver an authentic cucumber gin rather than merely a gin flavoured with cucumber. Cucumber Gin is a premium product with a delicate yet pronounced flavour.
“We use only premium ingredients and employ a traditional method of infusion using copper pots. We’re uncompromising in our approach, which is something we know that our discerning target market will appreciate.
“Our aim was to offer a twist on traditional gin and create a product that was all about the cucumber. Cucumber Gin has achieved our objective: it delivers on flavour and is perfect when enjoyed neat over ice or in a delectable G&T.”
Cucumber Gin has already won a Silver Award in the 2016 International Wine and Spirit competition (IWSC). “To have received such high accolade from the IWSC so soon after the product was developed is praise indeed for Cucumber Gin and a real seal of expert approval,” Graham added.
“Cucumber Gin is the only spirit we produce and we’re determined to make it a success with trade stockists and consumers alike.”
