Radisson RED has put a call out to the people of Glasgow, inviting anyone looking for a new challenge in 2018 to apply for a place on its Casting Day to be held at The Lighthouse on January 22.
Radisson RED Glasgow, set to launch in spring 2018, will be the first RED hotel to open in the UK, and is looking to recruit around 80 people in total.
RED’s philosophy is designed to connect with millennially-minded individuals through art, fashion and music.
Candidates can find more information about the available positions at radissoncareers.com and can apply there before January 9. Or they can send a CV along with a video clip, selfie or Instagram link to email@example.com.
The brand is looking to recruit creatives, with responsibilities ranging from housekeeping and food & drink to engineering and events, dedicated to delivering a culturally aware service to its fiercely independent, tech-connected and fun-loving hotel guests.
Encouraged to be conscious, courageous, captivating and versatile, successful candidates will be able to take the lead, be part of a team and create a spark with everything they do.
The Casting Day will differ from traditional recruitment processes. There will be fun workshops, opportunities for candidates to get creative with music, art and fashion, and all to the soundtrack of a live DJ.
Responsible for all operations at the hotel, curator Michael Weston said: “We are on the lookout for RED brand ambassadors who connect with the world around them. We want our team of creatives to be socially aware and able to make genuine friendships with our guests. We encourage laughter, playfulness and even a little mischief with guests that will drive them to come back again and again.
“We are recruiting for a variety of positions, and for those who have never worked in a hotel before, it’s no problem at all. At RED personality is the most important part – we can show you the rest.
“Our team delight our guests through a concept called ‘FLOW’, that means they move freely through the hotel taking on a variety of tasks across all departments. Every day is different, they make the guests feel welcome, cook up tasty food, shake the cocktails and generally ensure our guests are happy, catered to and inspired.
“We were blown away with the response to our first recruitment drive where we had 400 applications for the first seven roles we released, and so we’re hoping for a great response.
“The casting day will give us the opportunity to see how well the candidates identify with our core values so that we can select the applicants that most align with our brand. We want confident individuals who love the city. Our creatives should stand out.”
Successful applicants will be invited to the casting session at The Lighthouse on January 22 from 9.30am to 5pm, where candidates will be selected based on how much their personalities align with the RED brand DNA.
