Rekorderlig promotes Winter Cider for cocktails to bars

RekordernoggSwedish cider brand Rekorderlig is promoting the mixability of its range by promoting winter cider cocktails to bars and pubs.

The specially created recipes are backed by Rekorderlig’s first £2million advertising campaign for its Winter Cider flavour at a time of year when the cider category is traditionally quiet.

The cocktails have been designed with “a contemporary Swedish twist” by Joel Persson who has worked as a consultant on the brand but is now its official global mixologist. He has worked in bars in Sweden such as Orangeriet in Stockholm and in Australia where he was at The Alchemist in Melbourne.

The recipes include a twist on an eggnog, called the Rekordernogg (pictured top), the rich-flavoured rum-based Midnight Forest, and other twists on the classics such as a Svensk Mojito.

Joel said: “Rekorderlig is a five-sensory product. It’s more than a cider – it’s an escape from the moment you are currently in. It is a truly special drink that is versatile and dynamic and I’m excited to start my journey with the brand and introduce the ‘Beautifully Swedish’ message globally.”

Gemma Copping, marketing director at distributor Chilli Marketing, added: “We are thrilled to have Joel on board as our global mixologist. He knows our brand inside out.

“This, aligned with his award-winning talent plus his love, energy and obsession for creating distinctive cocktails, means we have an incredibly unique winter cider cocktail range that we know will blow customers away.”

Made with apples and infused with cinnamon and vanilla, Rekorderlig Winter Cider can be supplied to bars with a branded urn for holding the warmed-up cider plus branded tankards for serving it with a slice of orange. Other branded glassware and pitchers are also available.
