Revamped Walkabout venue opens in Glasgow

Following a £500,000 investment and refurbishment, Stonegate Pub Company’s Aussie-themed bar Walkabout is reopening in the city of Glasgow on September 3.

Based on Renfield Street, the new sporty venue includes two bars, booths, and state-of-the-art HD screens showing the latest sports fixtures along with tiered stadium seating.

Walkabout will offer a food menu made up of burgers, parmis, BBQ platters and other Australian favourites. Drinks come in the form of a wide selection of craft beers, wines, and “Aussie Twist” cocktails in cans.

The Glasgow bar will host a number of events and entertainment between sports matches. Promotional food and drink offers will also run throughout the week.

Senior general manager Kevin Buchanan said: “We’ve invested hugely in the venue and are incredibly proud to show off the revamped bar and its brilliant night time offering.

“We can’t wait to bring back the art of laid-back Aussie socialising and showcase the best venue in Glasgow which to enjoy sport. That paired with fresh food and the great drink, we’re sure we won’t disappoint!

“In a first for Glasgow, we’ll also be introducing a Felson’s Cocktail Lounge and Stick Bar as a brand-new concept. There really isn’t anything else like it in town!”
