Yorkshire-based The Chilli Jam Man has been propelled onto the national stage by collaborating on Revolution Bar’s new menu.
His chilli sauces are now on the tables and featured within several menu choices in Revolution Bar restaurants nationwide. From the Chilli Slider Challenge to the Let’s Meat Up sharing plate, customers can enjoy variants such as Rib Tickler BBQ sauce, Smoked Ghost ketchup and Carolina Reaper chilli sauce.
Simon Barrett, aka The Chilli Jam Man, fell in love with South East Asian flavours while living in Australia. On his return to the UK, he started making chilli products for himself on his kitchen table in Pudsey.
Nine years later, he is now a Great Taste Producer and his products are being used in everything from ice cream, sausages, brownies and beer.
Simon said: “I’m over the moon to be working with such a recognised brand. It’s been a long journey but the feedback has been amazing. This is our most exciting collaboration to date – we never thought we’d be involved in a revolution!”
Simon’s enthusiasm is shared by staff at their local Revolution Bar in York, when he called in to check out the menu for himself.
Staff were keen to tell the Yorkshire Wolds-based food producer how much they’d enjoyed sampling the menu for themselves – and even rewarded Simon with a 20ml Carolina Reaper sauce giveaway for completing the Chilli Slider Challenge!
Simon added: “I’ve been blown away by the feedback we’ve received so far. Since the launch, we’ve seen orders go through the roof.
“We’re currently working through the night to keep up with demand. If you’d have told me nine years ago when I was taking my first batch of 40 jars to my local farmers market I wouldn’t have believed it!”
