Revolution group promotes former GM to chief operations officer

Jimmy Del Guidice

Revolution Bars Group has appointed a new chief operations officer who first started working with the company 25 years ago as a general manager.

Jimmy Del Giudice previously worked his way up to operations manager and then operations director in the executive team after joining the business – then called Inventive Leisure – in 1991.

Starting out as a general manager of one of its unbranded bars, he was part of the team that opened the first-ever Revolution in Manchester in 1996, going on to become an area manager.

As a member of the current executive team, Jimmy has been integral in developing and managing the recruitment, training and opening processes for all new bars, including Revolución de Cuba.

He said: “I’m really proud to be recognised for my hard work and dedication to Revolution over the last 25 years. Revolution as a brand may be over 20 years old, but it is still current, exciting and constantly evolving, and so it is a brand I love working for.

“As chief operations officer, I want to ensure we continue to keep on top of the trends and constantly evolve our brands. Everyone I work with is so passionate about Revolution.

“I want to say thanks to all off the team at Revolution for all of their support over the last 25 years and to Mark McQuater for allowing us to continue to develop innovative ideas to ensure the business is always moving forward.”

Mark McQuater, CEO at Revolution Bars Group, said: “Jimmy has been a valued member of the Revolution team for 25 years and has achieved incredible results for both of our brands.

“In particular, Jimmy was instrumental to the development of the Revolución de Cuba brand. We thought it was only right to recognise his hard work and loyalty with this new role.”
