Rocket Leisure to open third Records bar in Shoreditch

The team behind popular south London bars Venn Street Records and Northcote Road Records are heading north of the river to open a site in Shoreditch.

For their third “Records” venue, Rocket Leisure has taken over the premises of Tex-Mex restaurant Café El Paso (pictured) in Old Street, paying a “large premium”.

Venn Street Records in Clapham was opened by Tom Jackman, Russell Taylor and Howard Taylor in 2010, combining a dive bar feel with contemporary design, food, cocktails and live music.

Its success led them to open Northcote Road Records in Battersea in 2013. They are also looking to open a fourth site in 2016.
