World of Zing, the innovative food and drink supplier, has developed a bespoke range of Thai-inspired ready-to-serve cocktails for the Rosa’s Thai Café restaurant group.
Drawing on its expertise in ageing and batching cocktails for its own off-the-shelf range, World of Zing will deliver the six drinks ready for staff to pour over ice, adding soda or prosecco and garnishes if needed.
They are: Malt Banana Tree Old Fashioned, at 35% ABV; Kaffir Lime & Mint Tequila Toreador (pictured top), at 27% ABV; Birdseye Clementine Fire Daiquiri (pictured below), at 25% ABV; Ginger & Lemongrass Gin Fizz, at 35% ABV; Co Pi Pi Vodka & Coconut Collins, at 30% ABV; and Blackberry & Tamarind Rum Punch, at 19% ABV.
World of Zing launched its own “off-the-shelf” bottled cocktail range in 2014 which includes the Bordeaux Cask Aged Negroni, Persian Lime & Nori Margarita and a Spiced Rum Punch. It followed this last year with an on-trade programme offering bespoke cocktails for bars, pubs, restaurants and events companies.
World of Zing director Pritesh Mody said: “The World of Zing drinks programme allows venues to provide exceptional cocktails and a highly competitive profit opportunity without the associated investment in space or staff.
“Indeed, with batched cocktails now commonplace amongst the best bars, we have seen a huge rise in demand for our expertise in this area.
“Providing zingy Asian twists to a range of popular contemporary and classic cocktails, the cocktails developed for Rosa’s has allowed us to perfectly demonstrate both the creativity and the simplicity of our programme.”
Rosa’s director Alex Moore said: “We are very proud to announce the launch of such a unique product range created by the flavour wizards at World of Zing.
“Designed specifically to match and enhance the flavours of Thai food, these ready-made cocktails have already proven to be a massive hit with our fans.
“At the core of Rosa’s business is food cooked from the heart. This is also evident World of Zing’s approach towards product development, and was the main reason why we chose this partnership.”
World of Zing On-Trade operates from its 5,000 sq ft innovation hub in Mile End in east London, including a dedicated Molecular Mixology Lab and Cocktail Ageing Room. It has its own on-trade distribution infrastructure in place, with 20 vehicles already servicing restaurants and bars in the south-east on a daily basis.
Rosa’s Thai Café, founded by Alex and Saiphin Moore seven years ago, has expanded to six sites around London.
