Rose petal gin added to Liverpool Collection for Valentine’s

Liverpool Rose Petal Gin

Halewood Wines & Spirits has brought back a limited-edition gin made with rose petals in time for Valentine’s Day.

As part of the Liverpool Collection, the delicate and aromatic Liverpool Rose Petal Gin combines the floral and romantic aroma of rose petals with citrus for sharpness.

Background notes of sweet liquorice, warming cassia and piney juniper on the palate complement the long, rose finish.

Its first appearance in 2016 proved a success, particularly due to increasing consumer demand for flavoured gins and the on-trade’s growing cocktail culture.

Its recommended serve is over ice with Lamb & Watt Hibiscus tonic water, garnished with edible rose petals.

Bottled at 43% ABV, it has a recommended price in retail of £45 for 70cl.

Leanne Ware, senior marketing manager for the Liverpool Collection at Halewood, said: “We are extremely excited to bring back the Rose Petal variant within the Liverpool Collection. With distinctive, romantic tones, this gin will work perfectly with the indulgent intentions and flavours of the season, as well as make for the perfect Valentine’s Day gift for those seeking something unique for their loved ones.”

As well as being stocked by retailers such as Harvey Nichols, the limited-edition gin is available through wholesalers including LWC Drinks, Select Drams and Hammonds of Knutsford.

Liverpool bars Castle Street Townhouse and Harrington’s are among those offering Liverpool Rose Petal Gin, with more national venues to follow.

The ultra-premium Liverpool Collection portfolio includes the Liverpool Gin Original, a Valencian Orange Gin, a 16-year-old rum and a 12-year-old whisky, which celebrate the brand’s hometown heritage as one of the UK’s most historic ports.
