Rubies in the Rubble is continuing its mission to create ‘gourmet condiments with a conscience’ with the release of a new, sustainably-soured and 100% natural Tomato Ketchup.
Inspired by home-cooked family recipes, the product and has been made using surplus pears that would have otherwise gone to waste.
The natural sweetness from the fruit means Rubies uses half the sugar and three times the fruit content of typical ketchups.
The team believe that all good food should be cherished and are raising awareness about the need to value food. With a third of food produced worldwide going to waste, Rubies takes pride in working directly with farmers to source fresh fruit and veg from surplus produce.
Currently available in 250g glass bottles and a 10L bag in box, the new Tomato Ketchup joins Aquafaba Mayo, Chipotle Mayo, Banana Ketchup, London Piccalilli, Pink Onion and Chilli, and Spicy Tomato in the Rubies range.
Rubies’ Tomato Ketchup is listed at Mac and Wild restaurants, with other condiments in the range stocked at Honest Burger, Hache, Ethos, Marriot and EAT.
