Salcombe Brewery releases small-batch hopped ale

Salcombe Brewery Hop Garden ale

Salcombe Brewery Co is launching its first limited edition small-batch brew: a green hopped amber ale called Hop Garden.

The exact flavour of the 4% ABV ale will only be revealed on tasting day, but according to Salcombe Brewery, it will be pale, refreshing and citrussy.

Hop Garden complements Salcombe Brewery’s range of year-round beers, including Island Street Porter, Seahorse, Salcombe Pale Ale, Lifesaver, Devon Amber, Shingle Bay and Salcombe Gold.

The limited edition brew will be available until stocks last on draught in pubs and bars across the country and in bag in boxes (5L, 10L and 20L) from the Brewery Shop.

Head Brewer Sam Beaman said: “I am incredibly excited by this single batch beer which will be created using green hops fresh from the field.

“The hops will be collected the day before being brewed so the result is a hop flavour as fresh as can be – from field to glass within a fortnight!

“We are only creating one batch so beer aficionados wanting to try something a little different will need to be quick off the mark too.”
