Salvatore’s Bar (pictured) at London’s Playboy Club has been named the capital’s favourite nightspot out of 1,176 different venues in the capital on ratings website TripAdvisor.

Bartender Salvatore Calabrese, who launched the bar with Playboy Club in 2011, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for the bar and my wonderful, dedicated team.

“Our mission at Salvatore’s Bar is to provide the ultimate bar experience in London from the warm and elegant atmosphere to the attentive service and of course our well-considered and award-winning drinks list.

“This accolade is a testament to the hard work that goes into achieving this.”

Highlights of the Mayfair bar, which is open to club members and non-members alike, include a sophisticated “adults only” Afternoon Tea, with four specially created Te’Freddo teapot cocktails served by Playboy Club’s iconic Bunnies.

The bar also has Salvatore’s own mobile martini bar, which promises a perfect Martini every time, and offers Salvatore’s Legacy which, at £5,500, is one of the most expensive and oldest cocktails in the world. It has been created using some of the rarest bottles in Salvatore’s outstanding collection of spirits and liqueurs, which is housed at Playboy Club and features a 1788 cognac, curaçao from the late 1860s, a 1770 kümmel and Angostura Bitters from 1915.
