Savage Garden reveals latest cocktail menu

Savage Garden Poppy Field cocktail

Rooftop bar Savage Garden at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel by the Tower of London has launched a new cocktail menu.

The concept takes its inspiration from London’s dark, gruesome history, from Tower Hill to Tynburn, The Bloody Tower to Murder Mile and Aldgate to St Paul’s, capturing bloody murders, betrayals, intrigue, dramatic disappearances and torture.

The cocktails feature “strange and unlikely ingredients”, including black treacle, smoked syrup, turmeric, bitters, oak vanilla and black pepper.

Examples from the list include the Semiotic Martini, made with Crystal Head vodka, walnut vermouth, Pampelle grapefruit aperitif, Seedlip Grove, pineapple and champagne foam, and Blood Mile, a Mojito-style serve “with a little murder”, combining Havana Club rum, lime, sugar syrup, meloncello, black pepper, mint leaves and Franklin & Sons Pineapple & Cardamom Soda.
