Second site sought by team behind Icebar London

Ice Bar London

The owners of cool destination venue Icebar London are on the lookout for a second site in the capital.

They have appointed retail and leisure agency Lunson Mitchenall to find a location for another individually branded bar to open during 2016.

They are looking for sites of between 5,000 to 8,000 square feet in prime central London areas including the West End, Holborn, Bloomsbury and the South Bank.

It will be an evolution of the Icebar concept and promises to bring “the next big thing” in ice attractions with a new “fully immersive” ice experience.

The interior will appear to be completely created of snow and ice harvested from The Torne River deep in the Arctic Circle. There will also be a Warm Lodge which will comprise a reception and snug.

Icebar London, originally Absolut Icebar, opened in Heddon Street in 2005 and is regularly refreshed with new ice sculptures and interior designs.

Nick Hartwell, director of Lunson Mitchenall, said: “The London leisure market is continually evolving and we’re seeing new concepts open every week. Icebar London has recognised the increasing demand for its unique offer and we are delighted to be working with the team on its expansion plans.”

Alex de Pommes, director of Icebar London, said: “We see huge potential for a new concept bar in London. With Lunson Mitchenall’s impressive range of contacts within the landlord and developer community, it was the obvious choice for us. Its catering and leisure team is very well respected in the market and we look forward to working with them.”

Lunson Mitchenall’s catering and leisure team is actively acquiring sites for a number of leading leisure operators including Drake & Morgan, Azzurri, Comptoir Libanais, Caffe Nero, and Yo! Sushi.
