Launched by Leicester-based software developers Sentle Ltd, EngageInn has been developed specifically for the hospitality industry to increase footfall, allowing businesses to send personal and relevant text messages to keep customers up to date on news and activities.
EngageInn texts can provide information on food offers, drinks promotions, sports events, quiz nights, guest ale calendar and more.
Customers sign up and select which of the pubs activities they want updates on via a simple and easy to use app-based interface attached securely to the bar or wall. On sign up, a personalised welcome text will be sent followed by well-timed news and offers based on the pubs activities and customer interests.
All texts are opt in so there is no spam and with the recent addition of ‘scheduled messaging’, busy landlords can create messages and time them to send out a few days later.
Over 98% of texts are opened and read compared to other channels such as email. The product is described as simple, cost effective and very direct way of engaging with customers.

Allowing customers to opt in to receive messages when they are on your premises confirms the customer is both interested in being part of your community and ready to accept your updates.

EngageInn is now being used in a number of pubs and independent operators in the UK.

An ‘app free’ loyalty addition to the software is coming soon, allowing customers to redeem offers via a unique code, giving more scope to promote, monitor and get a real idea of return on investment.
