Sheppy’s celebrate 200 years with new premium Somerset ciders

2016 is gearing up to be quite a year for craft cider makers Sheppy’s.

Not only are they celebrating 200 years in business, they have launched two new premium Somerset ciders, with another to follow this summer.

The first is their bicentennial cider – Old Conky – a finely crafted medium cider which is made with traditional cider apple varieties, with a light touch of added fizz. Old Conky is available in a 500ml bottle (ABV 5%), 20-litre bag in box (ABV 6.5%) and 50-litre keg (ABV 5%).

Sheppy's - Cider with ElderflowerThis spring, Sheppy’s have also introduced Cider with Elderflower – to meet the growing demand for flavoured ciders. A delicious combination of dessert apple and elderflower, it is available in a 500ml bottle (ABV 4%).

For Sheppy’s, their cider-making journey began back in 1816. Today, six generations later, the business is owned by David Sheppy and his wife Louisa.

They produce 18 varieties of their traditional premium craft cider – in bottle, keg and bag in box – at Three Bridges Farm at Bradford-on-Tone, near Wellington in Somerset.

Sheppy’s are passionate about innovation, yet they remain true to their 200 year old heritage and traditions – and continue to craft their cider just the way it should be.
