Festive show presents the spirits of Christmas


taste of christmasSpirits and liqueurs will be showcased alongside food from leading restaurants at this year’s Taste of Christmas show in London.

Now in its sixth year, the event has moved to a new location, Tobacco Dock, in Wapping, east London, presenting 12 of the capital’s restaurants as well as cocktails from Callooh Callay in Shoreditch.

About 30,000 people are expected at the event that runs from today (November 21) until Sunday November 24.

The show will also features gins, vodkas, rums, whiskies and liqueurs, including Bloom London Dry Gin, Chase Distillery, Irish cream liqueur Coole Swan, Drinks21 with ABK Cognac, Highland Park whiskies, Kamm & Sons ginseng spirit, 10 Degrees C with The Poshmakers’ Ish Gin and Virgin Gorda rum, Berryshka liqueurs from Slovenia, El Dorado rums, Gosling’s Rum, Hayman’s Gin, Ian Macleod Distillers with Glengoyne whiskies, Martin Miller’s Gin, Little Devil with Bloodshot Spiced Vodka, Taylor’s Port, Opihr Oriental Spiced Gin, Pinkster Gin, Sipsmith, Thunder Toffee Vodka, Vestal Vodka and Warner Edwards Gin.

Beers at Taste of Christmas will include Birra Moretti from Italy and world beers from Molson Coors such as Pacifico, Cobra, Grolsch and Singha.

Visitors can enjoy food from 12 London restaurants, including Beard To Tail in Shoreditch, the Truscott Arms in Maida Vale, Acciuga in Kensington, The Cinnamon Club in Westminster, Club Gascon in Smithfield, Benares in Mayfair, Barbecoa at St Paul’s, Disco Bistro at King’s Cross, the Opera Tavern in Covent Garden, new Basque restaurant Ametsa with Arzak Instruction at The Halkin in Belgravia, and Hixter which opens in Devonshire Square at the end of November.
