More than 350 leading British and international design brands will be showcased at this year’s Decorex International which takes place at Syon Park in west London from September 21 to 24.

The annual show is a mix of new talent and established designers, offering a chance to source new and innovative products and designs.

Formerly at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, the show has moved to the new location to provide greater space for new feature areas as well as larger exhibitor stands alongside its seminar programme featuring some of the top names in the design sector.

Features will include a “decadent” Champagne Bar designed this year by the acclaimed Les Trois Garcons, who are renowned for their distinctive flamboyance and glamorous eclecticism.

The design practice is headed by Hassan Abdullah, Michel Lassere and Swede Stefan Karlson (pictured) who have also established Les Trois Garcons restaurant and bar in Shoreditch, east London.

Hassan said: “This year, the Champagne Bar at Decorex will be a homage to the clean and elegant lines of the Georgian period with a modern use of materials.

“It will affirm my belief of always respecting and revering our past but also challenging ourselves to be creative and leaving a mark of our times.”

He added: “Decorex is always a source of inspiration and discovery of the latest, innovative decorating materials and ideas for designers in the UK.”

Inspired by this year’s theme of The Georgians, an original entrance walkway will take visitors on a journey with a twist, reinterpreting eight contemporary scenes from Hogarth’s A Rake’s Progress.

Collaborators on this include two leading hospitality designers: Russell Sage, who will work with Fromental to create The Orgy, and Shaun Clarkson, who will design The Prison.

Other designers include Nigel Coates creating The Levee, De Gournay designing The Marriage, Harlequin London and Martin Kemp imaginging The Gaming House, and Timorous Beasties and Retrouvious focusing on The Madhouse.

This year’s show features more than 100 new exhibitors. Newcomers include Liberty Art Fabrics Interiors, Eley Kishimoto, Maya Romanoff, Interior ID and Scapa House together with Bluebellgray, Haute Deco and Melodi Horne.

Established masters in the design and interiors industry will include William Yeoward, Fromental, FRONT London, de Gournay, Best & Lloyd, Zoffany, KAI Fabrics, SCP, Pinch and Julian Chichester.
