Signature Pub Group is investing around £130,000 in a refurbishment of its bar Element in Edinburgh’s New Town.
It is working with Tibbatts Abel, one of the UK’s leading hospitality designers, on a new look for the Rose Street venue which is due to re-open on November 3 after being closed for two weeks.
The relaunch will include an elegant new interior and new food and drinks menus, including a brunch menu and a lunch menu priced for a working lunch. Customers will also be able to enjoy the wide range of whiskies and gin.
The interior will be decorated in a blue and tan colour scheme with elements of muted tweeds, full of stylish and practical features such as fixed seating, providing space for larger parties.
It will include a bespoke Edinburgh-inspired mural by artist Lynsey Jean Henderson whose work can be seen in other venues run by Signature and its sister company The Speratus Group.
Signature operations manager Hazel Ward said: “As always, our focus will be on providing excellent levels of customer service in a comfortable, relaxing environment.
“The food and drink on offer will maintain their high standard of produce and production with a few creative twists.
“We hope to uphold our reputation as a hidden gem on Edinburgh’s Rose Street where our guests can enjoy the atmosphere day & night. We look forward to welcoming back familiar faces as well as new ones in a couple of weeks.”
