Slug and Lettuce has become the exclusive national bar partner for the UK launch of Jägermeister Spice, supported by new serves including a cocktail.

Until Christmas, it will be the only national multiple operator to offer the new product which is made with Jägermeister’s recipe of 56 herbs, blossoms, roots and fruits but with added cinnamon and vanilla.

The 74 Slug and Lettuce bars have introduced a new cocktail, the Vanilla Spiced Cranberry Crush, which comprises Jägermeister Spice with Smirnoff vodka, cranberry juice and soda water, garnished with a sprig of mint and a lime wedge.

Jägermeister Spice also features in Slug and Lettuce’s Mini Mulled Wine shot along with Martini Rosso and Chambord. It is also available as a shot over ice.

Nicola Stuart, Slug and Lettuce’s brand development manager at Stonegate Pub Company, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer our customers a first taste of Jägermeister Spice. It’s a delicious flavour which is perfect for Christmas cocktails and shots.

“Early feedback from customers has been hugely positive for our new Vanilla Spiced Cranberry Crush cocktail featuring it.”

Peter Fawcett, head of on-trade sales at distributor Mast-Jaegermeister UK, said: “We are very excited to have Slug and Lettuce on board as a partner for the launch of Spice. It’s the first Jägermeister extension in its 80-year history in the UK and we expect it to prove very popular amongst existing Jägermeister advocates as well as new customers wanting to try something a bit different.

“The continued growth of the speciality spirits sector has given consumers more choice and as such they are becoming more experimental and looking to extend their drinking repertoires with new and exciting drinks. Jägermeister Spice taps into this trend and provides the high-quality, complex taste profile that these consumers are seeking.”
