The Snug group is set to open its eighth bar this month after taking over a site in Bedford town centre.

The Snug is bringing its mix of cocktails and party atmosphere to the former Artisan Tap in High Street, opening to the public on July 25.

Unique to the Bedford premises, the bar (pictured) will be an evening-only location, opening from 4pm onwards and focusing on its cocktails – it will have a list of 50 with a happy hour every evening from 4pm to 7pm, offering two for one.

In traditional Snug style, the new bar will have events every evening from DJ nights and live music through to karaoke and quiz nights.

Giles Fry, owner of The Snug, said: “We can’t wait to welcome Bedford into our new Snug. We’ve created a unique twist on The Snug for a unique city and hope to welcome everyone through our doors over the next few weeks.”

It will be the eighth site for The Snug group, which began in Cambridge 20 years ago and has spread across the south of England including Hertford, High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, and Hitchin, St Albans and Ware in Hertfordshire.
