Soho House marketer to head Drake & Morgan sales and marketing

Bar and restaurant group Drake & Morgan has brought in the former head of marketing for Soho House in the UK as its new sales and marketing director.

In the role, Pooja Sharma-Jones (pictured) will be responsible for driving concept innovation to support the next level of growth for the business which this year is expanding beyond its London base to Edinburgh.

She will create and implement a marketing strategy that drives awareness, secures market position and increases sales across the nine sites.

Pooja will also work on making sure there is an “engaging, dynamic customer experience” through strategic marketing efforts, exciting new campaigns and PR, working alongside Drake & Morgan’s retained agency, Roche Communications.

With over 12 years of experience, Pooja joins Drake & Morgan from Soho House & Co where she was head of UK marketing for two years. The role saw her lead all day-to-day marketing planning and activity for its clubs, hotels, cinemas and restaurants. Previously, she held PR and marketing roles at retailers Harrods, Selfridges, GRI Retail and Liberty.

Drake & Morgan operations director Dylan Murray, who was previously UK director of operations for Soho House, said: “We are really looking forward to Pooja joining us and becoming an integral part of the team. She brings with her a wealth of experience and a fresh approach that will support the Drake & Morgan’s continued growth.”
