South coast operater to expand after record sales increase

Delicious Dining, which operates bars, restaurants and hotels on the south coast, plans to continue expansion in 2015 after reporting record-breaking sales.

Now in its 28th year, the Southampton-based group achieved turnover of £15milllion in 2014 after opening a new restaurant in the city.

Managing director Steve Hughes (pictured) said: “Financially, 2014 was a strong year for us. The group has a large appetite for success. Over the past two years we have seen a growth percentage of over 12%.

“We know that that is down to our ability to offer customers a wide choice, evolve as and when the market dictates, have an integrated marketing plan and strong revenue management.

“This year, we made some substantial changes to the business. We sold a very successful boutique hotel on the outskirts of Southampton and, in response to the rising demand of the burger and casual dining market, revamped one of our existing sites, re-launching it as a Shrimp and Burger restaurant – the first of its kind in the city.”

Delicious Dining will be opening a tapas-style restaurant in the first half of this year in Southampton’s new Cultural Quarter and is looking to build on its boutique hotel offering.

“Southampton is currently enjoying an exciting period of regeneration and we are actively seeking new opportunities,” Steve added.

Its other sites in Southampton include Yuzu Lounge Bar in the Bedford Place area, Banana Wharf, Italian restaurants Ennio’s and Puccini’s, and Grand Café Bar, Bistro and Restaurant.
