The fifth site for Sports Bar & Grill is to open in London this month with the official launch of the concept in the heart of the West End.

The new two-storey venue (pictured) in Rupert Street, near Chinatown and Piccadilly Circus, will offer a variety of international live sports on 20 large Sony plasma screens alongside food and drink.

It follows the expansion of Sports Bar & Grill to four other sites located inside or near to major train stations around London, at Waterloo, Victoria, Marylebone and Farringdon.

The food will range from classic pub dishes such as traditional beer-battered fish and chips to sharing platters, burgers, prime steaks and classic American-style hot dogs, all prepared in an open kitchen.

The “Beer Dogs” include the popular London Dog with crispy bacon and sautéed onions and the Acapulco Dog with beef chilli, sour cream and jalapenos, with the choice of pork, beef or vegetarian hot dogs.

The drinks menu features an extensive wine, draught and bottled beer selection.

Sports Bar & Grill managing director David Evans said: “To operate in the heart of London’s vibrant West End has always been my vision for the Sports Bar & Grill and I am delighted we can now offer our local and international customers and sport fans alike with a top-notch bar experience, whilst showcasing the best live sports available.”

Sports Bar & Grill will broadcast a wide selection of British, European and American sports, including NFL, NBA, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Eredivise and US College Football. A timetable of sporting events will be available from Sports Bar & Grill’s website, with daily alerts via Twitter and Facebook.

The venue also has capacity to host private functions, from corporate events to group bookings. In the coming months, the Rupert Street bar will host a series of sporting-themed events with special guest stars and exclusive competitions.
