The company behind Stivy’s vodka liqueurs has extended the brand into the flavoured cider market.

In line with the fun flavours of the vodkas, VC² Brands has launched two new ciders, Stivy’s Original Kola Fruits and Stivy’s Original Cherry Berry. They are designed to be served chilled over ice.

The taste of Cherry Berry is described as offering “a tang of cherry, a blast of berry” while the flavour of Kola Fruits cider has the same cola flavour familiar from Stivy’s Kola vodka liqueur.

Aimed at drinkers aged 18 to 25, they have strong, fun branding that feature the Stivy’s name prominently, building on the popularity of the vodka liqueurs with that market.

Initially available in Asda stores throughout Scotland, the company plans to roll the products out quickly, including the on-trade.

Graham Coull, director at VC² Brands, said: “Stivy’s premium fruit ciders are unique products that launch the iconic Stivy’s Brand into the flavoured cider market which is continuing to grow in the UK and Ireland.”

This launch follows another busy period for the company which relaunched its brewery arm, Black Wolf Brewery, in May with a new range of craft beers that are listed by pub groups such as JD Wetherspoon and Punch Taverns and Bookers.

Carlo Valente, director at VC² Brands, said: “2014 has been a busy year for us at VC² Brands so far with the relaunch of Black Wolf Brewery and our new craft beers, as well the launch of Stivy’s Original Cider.

“At VC² we try to be different with our products, and we look forward to exploring all opportunities for our new ranges and building lasting partnerships with our customers in the on- and off-trade.”
