Stoli supports budding bartenders with online training

Start With Stoli

An online programme for educating budding bartenders and fostering talent has been launched by the team behind Stolichnaya vodka.

Focusing on working with vodka, “Start With Stoli” features online workshops, interviews with leading professionals and cocktail recipes to help guide mixologists seeking to enter the industry.

After completing the programme, bartenders are invited to submit their own unique cocktail for a chance to win a “Bartender’s Dream Library” so they can build their knowledge further.

Stolichnaya brand ambassador Matt Dakers said: “The foundation of Start With Stoli allows aspiring bartenders starting out on their journey to access tools and build their knowledge they wouldn’t necessarily receive from behind the bar.

“Many competitions and programmes are aimed at established bartenders whereas Start With Stoli inspires new bartenders to share their work.”

Start With Stoli has launched with Bartender Workshop #1 featuring leading US-based mixologist Tony Abu-Ganim as the guest instructor.

The “Recipe Challenge” allows would-be bartenders to submit their own cocktail recipe for a chance to be featured on the website and win the library of 50 of the classic and most seminal books on cocktails and bartending, such as Harry Johnson’s Bartender’s Manual.

Eileen Livingston, marketing controller at Stolichnaya distributor Maxxium UK, said: “Stoli is excited to introduce a programme that teaches and guides new talent in working with premium vodka.”
