Stolichnaya to introduce glow-in-the-dark bottle


stoli nightA bottle that glows in the dark is the latest limited edition from premium vodka brand Stolichnaya, building on its presence in the late-night market.

Stoli Night Edition, which is being introduced this autumn, appears to come in a minimalistic, frosted glass bottle but the front label has a subtle, almost hidden pattern that absorbs the energy of light throughout the day. When the lights go out, it releases a radiant pattern using special glow-in-the-dark ink.

Val Mendeleev, chief executive of brand owner SPI Group, said: “Those who enjoy the passion and excitement of nightlife are the ones who’ve made Stolichnaya what it has been for more than 75 years – and still is – today. Stoli Night Edition is a truly original celebration of this nocturnal spirit, and we can’t wait to share it.”

Stoli Night Edition, available in 70cl, 75cl, one-litre and 1.5-litre sizes, will be showcased in selected markets this autumn, leading up to the global launch at the Tax Free World Association (TFWA) exhibition in Cannes from October 20 to 25.

In April, Belvedere Vodka expanded its range of bottles that light up through a single-use LED encased in waterproof plastic, powered by a tiny battery.
