Stonegate bars team up with Sailor Jerry on cocktails

Sailor Jerry

Stonegate Pub Company has teamed up with Sailor Jerry rum to offer a special list of cocktails at its bars this summer.

They have developed an exclusive drinks menu featuring four cocktails made with the spiced rum, which will be available at its bars such as Missoula, Edwards, Label and Home.

Due to be introduced on Thursday July 2 and running to August 27, the four cocktails – or “cuptails” as they will be known – will be served in tattoo-themed limited-edition cups to tie in with the brand’s inspiration, tattooist Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins. With four unique designs, they can be taken away as collector items.

It includes the brand’s signature Backyard Lemonade, made by combining the spiced rum with lemon juice, gomme syrup and lemonade. The Strawberry Mule mixes the rum with Funkin Strawberry Puree, lime juice, gomme syrup, Old Jamaice Ginger Beer and mint leaves.

The Rum Crumble is made with Sailor Jerry, Disaronno, apple juice, ginger beer and a slice of green apple, while the Sailors Rum Punch is Sailor Jerry with Malibu, orange juice, pineapple juice, lime juice, grenadine, a lime wedge and cinnamon.

The bars will also be promoting a Sailor Jerry competition to win an all-inclusive trip for two to California, the birthplace of Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins. Customers enter by buying a cuptail and uploading a photo of themselves with it via Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #sjcalifornia and mentioning the bar they are in.

Alan Armstrong, head of marketing for Stonegate Pub Company’s Bars and Venues, said: “We are really pleased to have teamed up with Sailor Jerry to offer these cuptails to our customers all summer long.

“The ultimate rum, cool and edgy, and oh so spicy, blended with fresh summer ingredients make these cuptails, served in collector cups, the perfect accompaniment to a night out at our bars.”
