Stonegate Pub Company is continuing roll-out of its late-night Popworld concept with the launch of a new club in Bristol.

The latest Popworld opens downstairs from Irish bar Molloy’s in Baldwin Street tonight (November 28) after a “substantial” investment, with special guests Bradley McIntosh and Tina Barrett of SClub.

It will be the 12th site for the concept which features sharing cocktails in giant disco balls, floor-to-ceiling pop video walls and VIP booths with table service, all in stylish surroundings. The music is back-to-back pop favourites to create a fun party atmosphere.

Popworld in Bristol will be open Thursday to Saturday from 9pm until 3.30am, with last entry at 1.30am.

The cocktails, known as “Poptails”, vary in theme, ranging from party classics such as Sex on the Beach through to retro-style drinks Dandelion and Burdock and American Cream Soda. Sweet Poptails have names such as Toffee Apple and Love Hearts.

The signature cocktail is the Popalicious, which combines rum, strawberry liqueur and fresh lime, topped with more rum. Sharing drinks come in vessels such as a top hat and a disco ball.

The menu also features bombs, shots and “Poptarts” – mini cocktails with names such as Chocolate Fudge Cake and Jammy Doughnut.

Popworld Bristol’s general manager Nick Tyrrell said: “We’re really excited about launching Popworld in Bristol and know it will be a great success. Popworld comes with a warning to customers: leave your dance-floor inhibitions at the door, sing your hearts out and dance like no one’s watching and we guarantee you a great night out.

“We have several Christmas package options for those looking for the ultimate office party ideas and can tailor them to suit the customer. From interactive cocktail master classes, complete with fancy dress and ‘Jager-trains’, to a bespoke casino party, we can guarantee a Christmas party to remember.

“Our unique Partini cocktails, sharing cocktails served in giant cocktail-shaped glasses, are the perfect way to get any party started.”

Customers can pre-book tables and drinks in advance via www.popworldbristol.co.uk and receive discounts on a range of premium spirits and cocktails.

Popworld also operates in Birmingham (pictured), Liverpool, Preston, Sheffield, Southampton, Swansea, Portsmouth, Wolverhampton, Guildford, Newcastle, York and Aldershot.
