Stonegate creates group role to push pre-booked sales

Slug and Lettuce EpsomStonegate Pub Company, which operates 548 pubs and bars across the UK including The Living Room and Slug and Lettuce, is boosting revenue after creating the role of head of pre-booked sales.

It has appointed Alex Griem, who has spent eight years in marketing and pre-booked sales at Revolution bar operator Inventive Leisure. He will help to develop and grow revenue from group, event and party bookings across the estate including cocktail masterclasses.

He said: “The Stonegate estate is really diverse with a variety of businesses that cater for a range of occasions so, for me, there’s a huge amount of potential to grow pre-booked sales.

“We have everything from great local community pubs, premium high street operations such as Slug and Lettuce and The Living Room to fantastic late-night venues, and I want to contribute to creating a culture whereby the whole company embraces pre-booked sales.”

Stonegate marketing director Richard Bruce added: “His role will be to work with the sales teams across the estate to create plans and products that will capture the imagination of our customers.

“Stonegate has a fantastic opportunity within our unique estate to help our customers plan a complete day, for example meeting with friends for lunch or dinner in one of our traditional pubs, enjoying a special cocktail-making class in a Slug and Lettuce, through to ending the night in one of our late-night venues, singing and dancing the night away.”
