Super-premium vodka extends range with amaretto flavour

Ciroc Amaretto

An amaretto flavour has been added to Diageo Reserve’s Cîroc range of super-premium vodkas in the UK.

Cîroc Amaretto is the fourth flavoured variant available in the UK after the success of Red Berry, Coconut and Peach.

Nick Temperley, head of Reserve Brands at Diageo, said the launch followed 7.8% growth across all trade for Diageo’s premium vodkas, according to data from Nielsen and CGA.

“Cîroc flavours have been a significant contributor to the success of the category within the Reserve Brands portfolio and the launch of Cîroc Amaretto further reinforces the Cîroc brand as a leader in innovation, with a truly unique flavour.

“Our new variant evolves Cîroc flavours from the more classic fruit into an even more sophisticated, complex, yet highly mixable flavour territory, making it appealing to a wider audience.

“The launch shows our commitment to respond to the continuous consumer demand for luxury flavoured vodka and will provide our customers with a new product to drive trade-up.”

Jean-Sebastien Robicquet, Cîroc vodka master distiller, added: “Cîroc Amaretto is crafted exclusively from fine French grapes and encompasses the taste of complex cherry with balanced chocolate, a background of creamy almond and overtones of clementine.

“Cîroc Amaretto is a unique ingredient for cocktails and, with the winter months coming up, a great serve would be the Ciroc Amaretto Espresso Martini. Made using Kahlúa or Caffe Lolita liqueur, espresso, Cîroc Amaretto and coffee beans to garnish, it’s a delicious option for the longer, colder nights.”

With an ABV of 37.5%, Cîroc Amaretto comes in 70cl bottles with a recommended price in retail of £37.90. It is available to on-trade outlets through Coe Vintners and Venus.
