Tales of the Cocktail to take the festival to Edinburgh

Tales of the Cocktail Edinburgh

The international Tales of the Cocktail festival, under way in New Orleans this week, is coming to the UK next year for three days of events in Edinburgh.

After previous outings to Vancouver, Buenos Aires, and Mexico City, Tales of the Cocktail on Tour is coming to Scotland from April 2 to 4.

The programme will feature professional seminars hosted by world-renowned bartenders and cocktail experts as well as social events, plus tours and tasting events to celebrate Scottish culture.

It will provide a taste of Tales of the Cocktail which, since being founded in 2002, has grown from a small gathering of cocktail lovers into the world’s biggest cocktail festival. Like the festival in New Orleans, the Edinburgh event is supported by brand partners William Grant & Sons, Pernod Ricard and Bacardi.

Stuart McCluskey, owner of The Bon Vivant and The Devil’s Advocate in Edinburgh, said: “Having been to Tales of the Cocktail on a number of occasions and experienced first hand the amazing wealth of industry expertise all in one special city for a week, I’m so excited that Tales on Tour will be coming to Edinburgh, my town.

“The Tales organisation gathers some of the very best of the hospitality industry together to unselfishly share their knowledge and wisdom with very keen listeners.”

Tales of the Cocktail’s founder Ann Tuennerman added: “Edinburgh’s cocktail scene obviously starts with the history and tradition of scotch whisky but it’s so much bigger than that. It’s a city that’s on par with the best in the world. I’m so excited for everyone to get to know it even better next spring.”
