TCG adds fresh and fruity cocktails and Cream Egg shots for spring

TCG spring cocktails

Managed pub and bar operator TCG is refreshing its drinks menu for spring with a range of seasonal cocktail serves which put the focus on fresh fruit flavours and lighter spritz-style drinks.

The new “Bloomin’ Delicious” spring menu will complement the core cocktail list in selected TCG venues – and will be printed on strawberry-scented card to enhance the seasonal feel.

Along with classics including the Bellini and the Aperol Spritz, the seasonal range features bespoke drinks including the Spicy Mango Spritz, made with mango purée and rosé wine shaken together and layered over ginger beer.

The Strawberry Fields combines strawberry purée, Arium tempranillo red, grenadine, Absolut vodka, lemon juice and cranberry juice, garnished with a strawberry.

Rhubarbella is made with Absolut Cherrys vodka with rhubarb syrup, peach purée and lemon juice, topped up with soda and garnished with rhubarb sweets.

Selected serves are available in pitchers, and the new drinks are supported by bespoke point-of-sale materials tailored to the different trading styles across the business. A bar staff training programme will ensure drinks are consistently served to the highest standards.

A number of bars will also be offering six Cream Egg shots in an egg box. The seasonal offer, available for Easter week, will be targeted at groups of friends looking for something different on a night out.

TCG director of operations Ben Levick said: “Cocktails continue to boom in the on-trade, and we’ve set out to make our pubs and bars the very best places in their local market for customers to enjoy mixed drinks.

“From Pornstar Martinis to Pickle Backs, we now have one of the biggest and best cocktail offer of any mainstream managed operator, and our new spring serves complement the core offer.

“Innovations such as our strawberry-scented menu and the Cream Egg carton shots help to add the all-important ‘wow’ factor that adds value to customers’ visits to our pubs and bars and encourages them to return.

“For customers looking for lighter, more refreshing drinks, spritzers and wine cocktails are set to be a big driver of sales this year – just as soon as we get some warmer weather!”
