Bar and restaurant group The Alchemist is to open its biggest site to date, located in Canary Wharf, London.
The 6,200 sq ft space will include two outdoor terraces, a 100-cover restaurant and three bar areas, with an all-day dining menu and new ‘grab and go’ bagel offering available alongside The Alchemist’s signature theatrical cocktails.
With a bespoke design created by Macaulay Sinclair, the new Canary Wharf site will feature crisp geometric lines with precious metal detailing, set against dark wood panelling and bronzed mirrored walls.
Simon Potts, managing director of The Alchemist, said: “Canary Wharf is the perfect location for our London flagship site. We’ll be offering busy workers respite from the city, with our spacious terraces, all-day dining and expertly crafted cocktails. The new site will have all the quality and theatre found at The Alchemist, but with its own twist tailored to Canary Wharf.”
Camille Waxer, managing director – retail and chief administrative officer, Canary Wharf Group, added: “We are very excited about welcoming The Alchemist to Canary Wharf. Its bars and restaurants bring an abundance of theatre, with striking interiors, delicious food and a unique and unconventional approach to mixology.
“The Alchemist will be located in one of our busiest hubs at Canary Wharf, with great views of the Estate from its two outdoor terraces. It will be a great opening not to be missed.”
The Alchemist currently has three sites in the capital: Bevis Marks at Liverpool Street, St Martin’s Lane and most recently Old Street. Canary Wharf will become the bar group’s latest addition in London, with further plans for expansion in 2020.
