Staff running nightclubs around the UK have been recognised in the annual awards run by leading club and bar operator The Deltic Group.
The company, formerly The Luminar Group, announced the winners at an event at Alton Towers for people working across its 57 nightclubs and bars.
Daniel Corry (pictured right) from Przym in Kingston upon Thames in south London was named general manager of the year and Rosi Regan from Pryzm in Cardiff took the title of deputy manager of the year. Ged Gorrie, who looks after Deltic’s venues in the south, won the award for regional director of the year.
Terry Bruce from Liquid in Oldham, Lancashire, was presented with the Graham Peel Award which is given in memory of former employee Graham Peel to an individual who displays outstanding energy, enthusiasm and entrepreneurial flair.
Head of human resources Zoe Pacyna-Wood walked away with the Special Contribution Award in recognition of her outstanding achievements over the last 12 months, supporting Deltic’s clubs and managing the integration of people working for the Chicago Leisure venues bought last year.
Hosted by chief executive Peter Marks (pictured left), the awards followed last month’s announcement of a change in name and an 18% increase in profits, representing a third year of consecutive growth.
Peter said: “We’ve had a fantastic 12 months. The company has now delivered its third year of growth, with a strategic focus on investing in its estate, people and entertainment to create great nights out for its customers. It’s an exciting time for The Deltic Group as we look to continue our growth and broaden our appeal.
“For me personally, our awards ceremony is one of the highlights of the year. It’s a great opportunity to thank our talented employees and formally recognise their role in the company’s continued success.”
The Deltic Group is the UK’s largest club and bar operator, with more than 3,000 employees.
