A new pop-up venue is being opened in Edinburgh today by The Famous Grouse as part of the city’s festivals, offering arts and entertainment alongside whisky and cocktails.

The Famous Grouse House will be outside New Town Theatre at Freemasons’ Hall in George Street from August 6 to 30, hosting performances for the Universal Arts Festival, part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Open from 11am to midnight, it will have a bar serving up The Famous Grouse whiskies as well as cocktails and mixed serves, particularly promoting the whisky with ginger over ice.

Johna Penman, marketing controller for The Famous Grouse, said: “The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the world’s largest arts festival, transforming one of the most beautiful cities into a stage for three exhilarating weeks, attracting the most colourful performers from the world of arts for everyone. It’s the perfect place to enjoy Scotland’s number-one-selling blended scotch whisky, The Famous Grouse, taking in the atmosphere of the festival.”
