Notting Hill-based cocktail bar The Little Yellow Door has joined forces with The Botanist Gin to create “London’s first” chlorophyll-based brunch cocktail.
The bar is setting out to emulate the brunches sister venue The Little Blue Door has been throwing over the last year with a “quirky” breakfast cocktail set to “wake up, re-energise and invigorate guests minds”.
Aptly named The Hangover, the fresh, nutritional breakfast tipple combines The Botanist Gin with elderflower, egg white and chlorophyll. It is served in a coupette glass with mint and chlorophyll perfume.
Guests have the option to add-on a “activated charcoal shot” on the side of the cocktail “for an extra detoxifying kick”.
The Little Yellow Door team recognise that chlorophyll has become the latest superfood buzzword. Alongside its anti-ageing and toxin-busting benefits, chlorophyll is often used as a natural mouthwash substitute.
