New UK push for The Real McCoy rum and NB gins and vodka

The Real McCoy rum from Barbados and British gins and vodkas from NB Gin are set for a new push after being added to the portfolio of Instil Drinks Company.

From March 1, the distributor will be handling the 3 Year Old Silver, the 5 Year Old and the 12 Year Old expressions of the rum which was launched three years ago by founder Bailey Pryor.

The rums are crafted by leading master distiller Richard Seale at Foursquare distillery in Barbados. They are small-batch single-distilled in a combination of column and pot stills and then aged in heavily charred American oak barrels.

Instil has also taken on NB Gin, NB Gin Navy Strength and NB London Dry Citrus Vodka and will act as exclusive distribution agent for all three, focusing on England and Wales.

NB Distillery, set up by Steve and Vivienne Muir in North Berwick in East Lothian, expects the new deal to lead to a major uplift in UK sales over the next 18 months.

Both the rums and the gins will be showcased at Instil’s trade showcase in London on March 1.

Instil focuses on high-quality, passionate producers rather than mass-market brands with a portfolio including Crystal Head Vodka.
