The Sterling reopens after £200k refurbishment

Bar and restaurant operator Novus has reopened The Sterling, its City of London venue which sits at the base of iconic skyscraper, the Gherkin.

The Sterling has been open since 2005. It has space for more than 160 covers inside and a further 200 outside on the coveted terrace tables.

The £200k investment has seen both bars at The Sterling opened up as part of a complete refresh, as well as the introduction of an open kitchen to showcase the new summer menu.

A range of seasonal dishes are being served, including The Sterling’s twist on a summer hamper with picnic-inspired sharing dishes.

Toby Smith, CEO of Novus, said: “The Sterling is one of our iconic London sites in a truly iconic location.

“Following our investment in the two bars and terrace at The Sterling, we look forward to welcoming both old and new customers to one of the very best sites in the UK.”
