Tony Conigliaro joins Mixing Star boot camp

Tony ConigliaroLeading bartender Tony Conigliaro (pictured) is to join the line-up of specialists in a mixology boot camp in Sicily for finalists in Disaronno’s Mixing Star competition.

He will lead the two-day intensive mixology training course for the winners of national heats in the international competition which challenges bartenders to create a unique twist on the Disaronno Sour.

The finalists, including one from the UK, will go on the all-expenses-paid trip to Cantine Florio in Sicily where they will explore the relationship between flavour, science and creativity alongside the 2013 competition finalists.

Tony is renowned for his cocktails and drinks writing which take inspiration from science, perfume, design, cuisine and bartending heritage. With an extensive career as a bartender, he is co-founder of top London bars 69 Colebrooke Row and Zetter Townhouse.

A food and taste scientist will soon be announced to join Tony as the second mentor on the trip.
