UK-based CBD drinks producer Top Beverages has released its first two CBD-infused spirits – a gin and a spiced rum – under the brand One.
Founded in January 2019 by Saf Ali and Nicholas Pullen, Top Beverages distils its spirits in Scotland, with each distillation limited to 500 bottles.
The company’s first expression, CBD Craft Gin – Navy Strength (54.5% ABV), is distilled with juniper berries, coriander seeds, angelica root, orris root, elderflower, lemon peel, lime peel, Valencian orange and 10mg of premium full spectrum CBD.
Saf said: “Our CBD Craft Gin can sit with the best gin out there in the market – with or without the CBD. Its authenticity comes through in every aspect of its robust taste, created with natural ingredients, navy strength ABV and a dose of CBD. The flavours are incredible, making it a delightful beverage to savour.”
Also bottled at 54.5% ABV, Top Beverages’ CBD Craft Spiced Rum – Navy Strength is spiced with cassia bark, orange peel, ginger, Indian vanilla pods and 10mg of premium full spectrum CBD. The expression is said to have a “distinctive combination of spices” and “sweet notes”.
Nicholas said: “Rum has been a core staple of my cocktail experiences since I was at university in the United States. I have yet to taste a more authentic rum where the smells of natural vanilla, nutmeg and cassia bark hit your nose immediately upon opening and carry through with you to the last sip.”
Both spirits are bottled and labelled by hand in 100ml Italian glass.
Top Beverages has developed and implemented strict testing protocols in conjunction with leading legal and food safety professionals to guarantee CBD quality, integrity and consistency as well as to meet EU standards relating to CBD and THC content.
