Trader Vic’s serves afternoon tea with a tiki twist

Famous tiki bar Trader Vic’s, located in London Hilton on Park Lane, Mayfair, is introducing a new ‘Tiki-tea’ experience, offering a savoury French-Polynesian twist on a traditional British afternoon tea.

The venue will be offering a selection of treats every evening from 5pm, featuring a towering table selection of “tiki-tastes from around the world”.

Featured dishes include crispy prawns, Tom Yum soup, BBQ spare ribs, Asian spiced chicken wings, jalapeno cheese balls, chickpea crepes and crispy bok choy and mushroom dumplings.

The ‘Tiki-tea’ is served alongside “vibrant” rum sharing cocktails. Available in a personal choice of tiki bowl, the drink options include a punch finished with brandy and orange juice; Rum Keg, flavoured with pineapple, apricot and passionfruit; or the Nippon Tea Punch, a blend of black tea syrup, honey syrup, brandy and peach liqueur.
