Bars across the UK are set to take part in a week-long celebration of one of the world’s most popular cocktails, the Negroni, in June.
Negroni Week from June 4 to 10 is co-ordinated by Campari Group – owner of the aperitif that is essential to the classic recipe – aiming to build on the initiative’s first outing in the UK last year.
It helps to raise money and awareness for good causes, with a range of different charities taking part around the world.
Campari will donate the full price of Negronis redeemed at one of the participating London bars when someone orders the drink and says “No Negroni without Campari”.
This offer will be available on Monday June 4 only. The first 50 customers in each bar who order using the Campari catchphrase will receive a Negroni on the house. It is limited to one per person, and the full price of each drink will be donated by Campari UK to one of the official Negroni Week partner charities.
Bars and restaurants taking part in this activity include Callooh Callay, Disrepute, Little Bat, Bar Termini Centrale, Shrub & Shutter, Demon Wise & Partners, Three Eight Four, Mele e Pere, Polpo in Beak Street, and Lardo.
