Three American-inspired relishes from condiment giant French’s have been launched for the UK’s bar, pub and wider foodservice sector.

Leading world food and drink importer Empire Bespoke Foods has introduced Texas Jalapeno Tomato Relish, Californian Sweet Onion Relish and New York Deli Pickle Relish.

Launched with the key summer season on the horizon and as interest in US cuisine shows no signs of abating, the relishes are versatile and suitable for burgers, chops, sausages, steak, sandwiches, wraps, cheese and an array of barbecue dishes.

Coming in easy-squeeze plastic bottles, Texas Jalapeno Tomato and Californian Sweet Onion is in 320g bottles and New York Deli in 315g.

They are available through a range of cash and carry suppliers and regional wholesalers. The products come in cases of six with recommended retail prices of £10.98 per case.

Texan Jalapeno Tomato Relish is inspired by Texan cuisine, providing a blend of sweet and heat, while Californian Sweet Onion Relish offers subtle crunch combined with sweetness. New York Deli Pickle Relish is a classic pickle showcasing gherkin with plenty of crunch and tang.

Nick Thomas, sales and marketing director at Empire Bespoke Foods, said: “We’re thrilled to introduce this US-inspired range of relishes by French’s into the foodservice sector in time for the summer months and core barbecue season.

“With the French’s brand already highly acclaimed for its taste quality and with the Americana food and barbecuing trend continuing to see strong interest from bars, pubs and restaurants, we’re positive this tantalising trilogy will wow and excite the trade and consumers.”

The French’s Food Company has developed a leading global condiment brand since being introduced to the public at the 1904 World’s Fair in St Louis, Missouri. It has the number-one mustard in the USA and the best-selling American mustard in the UK. The entire French’s portfolio is made with high-quality ingredients and free from artificial colourings and preservatives.
