The event will be held in the Prince Akatoki Hotel, and is designed to educate UKBG members on renowned Italian liqueur, Roteglia.
The UK Bartenders Guild has announced a masterclass aimed at raising awareness of the renowned Italian liqueur brand, Roteglia, and the history behind the brand to be delivered in a masterclass to British bartenders.
The historic Roteglia distillery was founded in 1848, in the centre of Emilia, by a family of Swiss origins, skilled in the trading of spices, and preparation of spirits and liqueurs. In 1900, one of their products, Sassolino, became a national product, and in 1927, Emilio Roteglia acquired the business, creating the ‘1848 Roteglia’ brand.
In the years that followed, it has passed from father to son, creating a series of products that have made Italian history and now the brand’s current owners are hoping to launch the brand into international markets.
UKBG members will have this exclusive opportunity to meet Roteglia representatives, and go down an immersive journey between land, spirits and traditions to find out the history of the brand, as well as educate the bar community on what makes this Italian liqueur so special.
The masterclass will be held on Thursday 16th November, between 11am – 12pm, at Prince Akatoki Hotel in London.
The event will consist of:
· A welcome coffee on arrival
· A brief introduction to UKBG and Roteglia
· A Roteglia masterclass with Fabio Di Pietro
· Canape tasting after the masterclass
An on-trade event not to be missed, there are limited spaces available and places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
To reserve your spot, please RSVP to buyering@5-hats.com by 15th November.
