Award-winning hospitality apprenticeship provider, Umbrella Training is proud to announce the launch of its latest programme: ‘Luxury Leaders’. The newest addition to its programmes, this leadership development apprenticeship has been created in collaboration with some of the UK’s most prestigious hospitality businesses, bringing together talent from across the luxury sector.
Designed exclusively for aspiring managers within the luxury hotel and restaurant sector, the programme delivers a structured, experience-rich journey aligned with the unique demands of high-end hospitality environments over a 12-month period. Apprentices will work towards a Level 4Hospitality Manager Apprenticeship, enhanced by bespoke masterclasses and personalised coaching from some of the industry’s most respected facilitators.
Following its launch this month at the Mandarin Oriental, Hyde Park, the programme welcomed its first cohort of 15 hand-selected apprentices – from establishments such as The Ritz, Iconic Luxury Hotels and the Hyatt Regency London, to name a few – on a tailored journey to becoming the next generation of hospitality leaders. This Level 4 Hospitality Manager Apprenticeship combines accredited learning with exclusive masterclasses in luxury service, leadership, cultural intelligence, and business acumen.
Throughout the 12-month programme, apprentices will gain access to a rich blend of in-person workshops, virtual learning, and immersive venue-led experiences. Masterclasses cover topics including luxury guest engagement, cultural intelligence, emotional leadership, sustainability in luxury, and financial expertise ensuring learners are equipped with both the operational skill and strategic insight required to succeed at the highest levels. This tailored curriculum is delivered by a team of experienced hospitality professionals and leadership experts, including: Josh Bright, Livvy Wharam and Umbrella Training’s own Simon King.

With just 15 places available per cohort, the ‘Luxury Leaders’ programme offers a highly personalised experience, with one-to-one mentorship, structured development planning, and industry networking embedded throughout. The programme can be fully funded via the Apprenticeship Levy or Umbrella Training can help to source funding where needed, ensuring accessibility for businesses looking to invest in the future of their leadership.
Following a hugely successful launch of the first cohort, Umbrella Training is now in discussions with additional partners for future cohorts, with a continued focus on identifying and nurturing talent within premium hospitality venues.
