A new guide has been released by Unilever Food Solutions (UFS) offering tips on how bars and pubs can pull in customers over the festive season.
Written in partnership with UFS pub food expert Chris Barber, it provides advice on good promotion, such as using photos and customer testimonials from last year’s Christmas on your website and in marketing material.
Another top tip is hosting menu tasting nights to get people excited about your food. Christmas menus need to be published on a venue’s website early, with printed versions available for customers to take away.
Chris is a firm believer in less is more. He said: “The golden rule is to keep it simple – set menus are easy to sell at a fixed price. Have a maximum of three starters, three mains and three desserts. And don’t be afraid to give customers a treat by including highly priced fine food items on your menu.”
The new How to Guide was launched in time to help bars and pubs promote and maximise their Christmas food and drink sales. To download a copy visit ufs.com/pubs.
