Bar and restaurant operator Urban Leisure Group (ULG) has appointed a new managing director as it prepares to open three new sites.
Adrian Hartley has stepped up into the role after being operations director for the past three years. He was previously at Kornicis Group which operates the Jamies and Smollensky’s brands.
ULG has been steadily expanding across London since starting out seven years ago with the opening of Graphic in Soho (pictured). It has announced it is to open its 10th site in early 2016, turning the former La Brocca in West Hampstead into a venue specialising in cocktails and pizza.
In mid-November, ULG is due to open the much-anticipated Coin Laundry in Exmouth Market, focused on 1970s-inspired food and cocktails, followed by Heist Bank in Paddington in January, offering wood-fired pizzas, local beers and fresh flowers.
Founder and director Hezi Yechiel said: “ULG continues to grow from strength to strength and we are really excited about our forthcoming openings. They will all bring something different to London’s vibrant eating and drinking scene and we can’t wait to launch the projects, some of which have been months in the making.”
ULG’s group of all-day-dining venues and cocktail bars around central, west and north London also include Ask For Janice, Central & Co, The Gallery, The Elgin and two sites called The Alice House.
