US and bold flavours inspire new Missoula food menu

Missoula cherry pieBar chain Missoula, part of Stonegate Pub Company, has introduced a new food menu that draws on the current trends for American-influenced dishes and an emphasis on bolder flavours.

New dishes have been added across different categories including sandwiches, sharers, small plates, “home comforts” and desserts.

The menu is designed to appeal to customers who are looking for a light bite, a comforting, warming dish, gourmet burgers and hot dogs, or a sharing dish over a drink with friends.

Two new choices of hot dogs feature in the Home Comforts section: the New Yorker Hot Dog with cheese and fried onion strings served with shoestring fries and the Chilli Dog, a hot blend of chilli con carne and melted cheese.

Also on the menu is bubble battered chicken fillets served with chilli coleslaw as well as a warming dish of chilli con carne served with rice, tortillas and sour cream.

Barbecue pulled pork, steak melt and ham and cheese toastie are among the new sandwich options while two US-style desserts are a Warm Cherry Pie (pictured) and a Key Lime Cheesecake.

Nicola Stuart, brand development manager for Missoula said: “The Missoula menu has a great range of dishes, and this refresh offers some new tasty dishes which we think make it even better.

“Dishes that are firm favourites amongst our customers such as the freshly rolled and baked-to-order pizzas and the gourmet burgers still feature on the menu but we want to keep the offer fresh and exciting for our customers and tap into trends.”
